Cassava Plans Africa's First AI Factory in South Africa

Cassava Technologies is set to establish Africa's first AI factory, a high-performance data center powered by NVIDIA AI computing technology, aimed at providing businesses, governments, and researchers on the continent with advanced AI computing capabilities. Scheduled for deployment in South Africa by June 2025, the initiative will expand to data centers in Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, and Nigeria, utilizing Cassava's extensive high-speed fiber-optic network. The AI factory will feature NVIDIA GPU-based supercomputers to facilitate faster AI model training and ensure compliance with local data regulations by keeping data within Africa's borders.
