Bigbasket, a Tata enterprise, is expanding its services to include electronics in partnership with Croma, promising 10-minute delivery for various devices, including the newly launched iPhone 16. Starting September 20, 2024, customers in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai can order the iPhone 16, which is priced at Rs 79,900 for the standard model and Rs 134,900 for the Pro version. The service is a significant step for Bigbasket as it ventures beyond groceries, emphasizing speed and customer convenience. Co-founder and CEO Hari Menon highlighted that this expansion marks the beginning of offering a wide range of premium electronics. This initiative aligns with a growing trend in India, where demand for quick commerce is surging, and competitors are also diversifying their product offerings. Bigbasket aims to enhance its operational capacity, having already achieved substantial growth in customer orders and revenues.
