Teenager found guilty of murdering father-of-seven in Cardiff

Corey Gauci, a 19-year-old, has been found guilty of murdering Colin Richards, a 48-year-old father-of-seven, following a stabbing incident that occurred in Cardiff in April last year. During a confrontation resulting from a feud involving Richards' friend, Christian Morgan, and the defendants, Richards sustained a fatal stab wound that severed his femoral artery, leading to his rapid death. The jury also found several co-defendants guilty of various charges, including violent disorder and assisting an offender. The case highlighted tensions stemming from threatening messages sent by Noreen O'Driscoll, Morgan's former girlfriend, which escalated into violence among the groups involved. Despite Gauci's claims of self-defense, evidence showed he followed Richards to the scene of the attack. Sentencing for Gauci and the other defendants is scheduled for a future date.
