Ducks Trade Regenda for Sharks' Justin Bailey

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired 29-year-old forward Justin Bailey from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Pavol Regenda. Bailey, who has 141 NHL games under his belt with 23 points, will report to the Ducks' AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, and has recorded 14 points in 33 games with the San Jose Barracuda this season. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Regenda, who has played 19 NHL games with the Ducks, scored three points and also tallied 16 points in 36 AHL games with the Gulls this season. Regenda, a Slovak native, contributed to Slovakia's bronze medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Both players are on one-year contracts, with Bailey earning $800,000 and Regenda $775,000.
