Global Child Pornography Platform Kidflix Dismantled, 79 Arrested

European authorities have dismantled Kidflix, one of the largest child pornography platforms, which had 1.8 million users and hosted over 91,000 videos of child sexual abuse. The operation, praised as one of the biggest blows against child pornography, involved police from 38 countries and resulted in the arrest of 79 individuals, with over 3,000 electronic devices seized. Established in 2021, Kidflix allowed users to stream and download videos, supporting transactions through cryptocurrencies. Authorities identified around 1,400 users connected to the platform, leading to significant international collaboration in the investigation. The raids, which took place from March 10 to 23, 2024, included operations in 31 countries, highlighting the scale of the abuse network. Despite these efforts, the operator of the site remains unidentified, and investigations are ongoing to track down additional suspects.
