Speed Limit Changes Announced in Mississippi, Texas

Several speed limit changes have been announced across different regions. In Petal, Mississippi, Mayor Tony Ducker is reducing speed limits on Evelyn Gandy Parkway by 5 to 10 miles per hour based on a study from the Mississippi Department of Transportation, affecting a 9.5-mile stretch. In Texas, the Texas Department of Transportation has also set a new speed limit of 45 MPH on FM 1417 between US 82 and State Highway 56, effective Tuesday. Meanwhile, the usual speed limit on Interstate 80 in Mercer and Venango Counties, Pennsylvania, has been restored following several accidents that caused significant traffic delays. Traffic began to clear after the speed limit was reinstated, allowing normal flow to resume. These changes reflect ongoing efforts to enhance road safety in these areas.
