President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his disapproval of the incident and instructed Ukrainian diplomats to investigate. Usyk attributed the situation to a misunderstanding due to a language barrier and thanked Polish police for their professional conduct. The incident occurred as Usyk was en route to London to attend the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight. Usyk's wife and trainer also confirmed the situation was resolved quickly with no criminal implications. Usyk remains focused on his upcoming rematch with Tyson Fury scheduled for December 21.
