Kevin Liles to Depart Warner Music Group

Kevin Liles, chairman and CEO of 300 Elektra Entertainment, will step down from his position at the end of September, marking a significant leadership transition within Warner Music Group. Liles, who co-founded 300 Entertainment in 2015, has been pivotal in launching the careers of artists such as Megan Thee Stallion and Young Thug. He will continue as a consultant until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition to co-presidents Rayna Bass and Selim Bouab, who will take over leadership. This change coincides with the departures of other senior executives at Warner Music, including Max Lousada and Julie Greenwald, as part of a broader restructuring under CEO Robert Kyncl. Liles emphasized the cultural impact and values he established during his tenure, stating, 'The cultural impact we created in 10 years when starting from scratch is simply unmatched in the modern era.' Looking ahead, he expressed a desire to engage in political activities, including supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.
