CrowdStrike has announced its intent to acquire Onum, a startup specializing in real-time telemetry pipeline management, to enhance its Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform. The acquisition aims to integrate Onum's capabilities in data pipeline management and filtering, enabling CrowdStrike to stream high-quality, filtered data directly into its platform and drive autonomous cybersecurity at scale. This move supports CrowdStrike's vision of evolving Falcon Next-Gen SIEM into a comprehensive data foundation for security operations centers, delivering AI-powered, automated threat detection and operational efficiencies. CEO George Kurtz emphasized that Onum's technology will accelerate AI-driven cybersecurity and expand Falcon's ability to handle complex security and IT observability challenges. The deal's financial terms and closing date have not been disclosed. CrowdStrike also highlights the importance of partner involvement in transitioning customers to more automated, AI-led security processes, with Next-Gen SIEM being a key growth focus for the company.
