BCCI Expands 2024-25 Central Contracts to 34 Players

The BCCI has released its expanded central contracts list for the 2024-25 season, now comprising 34 players across four grades. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja have retained their A+ contracts. Rishabh Pant has been promoted to Grade A, replacing the retired R. Ashwin. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, previously omitted for missing domestic cricket, have been reinstated in Grades B and C, respectively. Six players—including Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel—received their first central contracts. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, KS Bharat, and Avesh Khan have been dropped from the list.
