Man Fatally Shot Inside Chatham Home Chicago

A man was shot multiple times inside a home in the 0–100 block (first block) of East 89th Street in the Chatham neighborhood on Friday afternoon, with reports listing the time around 5:03 p.m. (some outlets reported shortly after 6 p.m.), Chicago police said. He was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital/Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead; his age has not been released. Police recovered two weapons inside the residence and a person of interest was brought in/taken into custody for questioning. No charges have been filed and investigators continue to probe the shooting.
