Alex Warren's song "Ordinary" has achieved remarkable success, tying the 31-year record for the longest reign at No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart with 14 weeks, matching the 1994 record set by Ace of Base's "The Sign." The romantic ballad also spent 10 weeks atop the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and led the Songs of the Summer chart, while dominating the Billboard Global 200 for 10 weeks and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for eight weeks. Since first reaching No. 1 in June, "Ordinary" has maintained a near-continuous hold on mainstream radio, with only a brief interruption by Sabrina Carpenter's "Manchild." Warren remarked on the song's broad appeal, emphasizing his intention for it to resonate with as many people as possible.
