Bangladesh's interim government led by Muhammad Yunus has lifted the ban on the Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, previously imposed by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under anti-terrorism laws. Following the ban's revocation, Jamaat plans to seek restoration of its political registration through the Supreme Court.
