Princess Anne Makes Rare Grandchildren Admission During Naval Charity Visit
During a recent visit to the Naval Children's Charity in Portsmouth, Princess Anne, who became the charity's patron in March, shared a rare and endearing insight into her grandchildren's lives, noting that they all enjoy cooking. The Princess Royal was presented with a child-sized apron during the visit, which prompted her to joke that it would fit her grandchildren better than herself. Anne is grandmother to five grandchildren aged between four and 14: Savannah and Isla Phillips, children of her son Peter, and Mia, Lena, and Lucas Tindall, children of her daughter Zara. The visit marked Anne's first to the charity since assuming patronage, continuing the legacy of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who supported the charity for 70 years. The Naval Children's Charity supports young people from naval families up to 25 years old, focusing on wellbeing and development. Anne's close bond with her grandchildren is reflected in family activities such as riding horses and Sunday gatherings at her Gatcombe Park estate.
