Sigma Debuts Aizu Prime T1.3 Cinema Lens Line

Sigma Corporation has introduced two new cinema lens series designed to meet diverse filmmaking needs: the Aizu Prime Line and the AF Cine Line. The Aizu Prime Line is notable for being the world's first large-format cinema lens series to maintain a consistent fast aperture of T1.3 across all focal lengths, ranging from 18mm to 125mm, offering exceptional brightness, shallow depth of field, and graceful bokeh. These lenses provide modern sharpness combined with an organic, soft look, minimizing distortion and focus breathing, and are available in PL and Sony E-mounts. The initial release includes eight lenses from 25mm to 75mm, with additional ultra-wide and telephoto lenses expected later. Meanwhile, the AF Cine Line features autofocus-enabled zoom lenses, including the 28-45mm T2 FF and 28-105mm T3 FF, incorporating high-precision autofocus with excellent tracking performance suited for fast-paced filming scenarios. Both lens lines emphasize professional-grade optical performance, catering to filmmakers who seek either manual cinematic control or responsive autofocus capabilities.
