Man Arrested in Stabbing of Amazon Driver
Curtis Gardner, 33, has been arrested and charged with felony attempted murder, armed carjacking, and burglary with battery after allegedly stabbing and robbing an Amazon delivery driver in Fort Lauderdale. The incident occurred on the evening of December 7, when the Amazon driver's vehicle was disabled by a flat tire in the 1100 block of Northwest 10th Terrace. Gardner allegedly approached the driver, brandished a knife, stabbed him, and then fled with a personal item from the driver. The driver, who sustained serious injuries, managed to seek help at a nearby convenience store and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he is expected to recover. Police have described the attack as random and stated that the flat tire does not appear to have been intentionally caused. The investigation is ongoing, and Gardner is currently held without bond.
