Buffalo Man Charged with Attempted Murder

Several violent incidents have recently occurred in the Buffalo and Erie areas, leading to serious charges against multiple individuals. Hector Martinez, a 37-year-old man, has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting that left a 19-year-old victim with life-threatening injuries in Buffalo. In Erie, Dawann M. Simmons pleaded no contest to homicide by vehicle for speeding into a traffic accident scene and killing volunteer fire policeman Shawn Giles in August. Additionally, Nicholas T. Chastang faces felony aggravated assault charges after accidentally shooting his girlfriend in the face, while 19-year-old Rakon C. Husband has been charged with attempted homicide related to a shooting captured on video. The victims in these cases are reported to be in stable condition, and court proceedings are underway for the alleged perpetrators.
