Tottenham Reports Plans to Sign Monaco Attacker Maghnes Akliouche
Tottenham Hotspur, initially targeting Manchester City winger Savinho, are now considering Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche as a more affordable alternative due to City's high asking price of around £70 million for Savinho. Akliouche, valued at approximately £47.5 million, is a promising 23-year-old French winger with strong performances in Ligue 1, including double-digit goal and assist seasons and a solid start to the current campaign. Tottenham are seeking to bolster their attacking depth following injuries to James Maddison and the departure of Son Heung-min, and Akliouche's versatility on either flank makes him a valuable potential addition. Although Monaco's initial asking price for Akliouche was higher, reports suggest a deal could be negotiated for closer to €55 million, making him a feasible option compared to Savinho. The player himself has remained non-committal about his future but the prospect of playing in the Premier League under Thomas Frank could aid his development. Tottenham must decide soon whether to invest heavily in Akliouche or continue pursuing Savinho, both of whom could significantly improve their attacking options.
