Al Nassr Sacks Castro, Eyes Pioli as Coach

Al Nassr has parted ways with their Portuguese coach Luis Castro after a disappointing start to the season, including a 1-1 draw with Al Shorta in the AFC Champions League and a poor league position. Castro, who joined in July 2023, is the third coach to leave since Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at the club. Despite Ronaldo's recommendation to hire Zinedine Zidane, the club appears set to appoint former AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli. Pioli led Milan to a Serie A title in 2021-22 and is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with Al Nassr. Ronaldo remains central to the club's plans, and his contract is set to expire next summer.
