Netflix has secured the rights to Callie Hart's fantasy romance novel 'Quicksilver' in a highly competitive bidding war, reportedly for a seven-figure sum. The novel, which gained immense popularity on TikTok, tells the story of Saeris, a human rebel with hidden powers, who binds herself to a Fae warrior named Kingfisher after accidentally opening a portal to another realm. Hart will serve as an executive producer for the project, alongside producer Elizabeth Cantillon, though no writer or director has been attached yet. 'Quicksilver' is the first book in a planned trilogy, with the second installment expected in fall 2025. The book's success has drawn comparisons to previous literary sensations like 'Twilight' and 'The Hunger Games', as it climbed to the top of Amazon's bestseller list shortly after its release. Additionally, the publishing rights have been sold across various territories, highlighting its global appeal.
