Chicago Police Arrest Man After Car Theft With Baby Inside

A 7-month-old infant girl was found safe after a man allegedly stole a car with her inside on Chicago's West Side Thursday morning. The incident occurred at a gas station in the North Lawndale neighborhood, where a 38-year-old man entered the vehicle while a 36-year-old woman was nearby and drove off. The vehicle was recovered shortly afterward, and the suspect was taken into custody by Chicago police. The baby was transported to the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and was reported to be in good condition. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and charges against the man are pending.
