Two Dead Following Two-Vehicle Downpatrick Crash

A two-vehicle crash on the Ballydugan Road in Downpatrick resulted in the deaths of two young men. Ryan Cunningham, 21, died at the scene of the crash, while Caoimhin Teggart, 28, from the Kilkeel area, succumbed to his injuries in hospital several days later. The collision involved a silver VW Bora, in which both men were traveling, and a grey Toyota Avensis, which carried two women who also needed hospital treatment. Police investigations into the incident are ongoing, and authorities have requested anyone with information or dash-cam footage to contact them. Tributes have been paid to Teggart by friends, highlighting his kind and helpful nature. A funeral service for Ryan Cunningham was held at Sacred Heart Church Killowen.
