Carole Ann Ford Seeks Return to Doctor Who

Carole Ann Ford, the last surviving cast member from the original Doctor Who series, expressed a desire to return to the show as it approaches the 60th anniversary of her character's last appearance. Ford, who played Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter, stated that such a return would be intensely emotional, especially as it would evoke memories of her late co-stars. Her last scene aired in 1964 after a confrontation with the Daleks, during which the Doctor promised to return for her, a promise that has yet to be fulfilled on-screen. Ford reflected on the bittersweet nature of potentially reprising her role, noting that it would remind her of those who have passed away, including William Russell, the last original cast member who died in June. Despite the emotional weight, Ford remains hopeful that the show's writers, led by Russell T Davies, might find a way to bring her character back.
