A series of life sentences were handed down by various courts in India for multiple murder cases. In the notorious Gudri Bazaar triple murder case from 2008, ten individuals were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 1.25 lakh for the murder of three college students. In a separate incident in Gurugram, four men received life sentences for the murder of a 4-year-old boy and attempted murder of his father, while a fifth, a minor, was sentenced to 10 years. Additionally, a father-son duo in Visakhapatnam was also sentenced to life for a 2017 murder case. Other cases include a life sentence for the murder of a municipality councilor's father in Bijnor and ongoing legal proceedings regarding attempted murder charges related to a land dispute.
