Erdogan Concludes Gulf Tour, Signs Accords
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan concluded a three-day Gulf tour of Kuwait, Qatar and Oman during which he held high-level meetings, oversaw bilateral agreements and sought to deepen strategic, economic and technological ties. In Kuwait he signed accords covering trade, defense, energy and humanitarian cooperation and presented Türkiye’s domestically produced electric vehicle, TOGG, to the emir as a symbol of technological partnership. In Qatar he met Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, urged preservation of the Gaza ceasefire and a joint Islamic push for a two-state solution while continuing bilateral cooperation talks. In Oman Erdoğan held a closed-door meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, attended an Al Alam Palace ceremony, presented TOGG to the sultan, and ministers signed further bilateral deals. Senior Turkish officials on the tour included Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, MIT head İbrahim Kalın, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kaçır and Trade Minister Ömer Bolat. Separately in Doha a Hamas delegation met Turkish officials Fidan and Kalın to discuss the ceasefire, with Hamas accusing Israel of stalling implementation and Turkish officials saying they remain committed to humanitarian relief and maintaining the truce.
