Teacher Charged With Indecent Exposure Twice

Matthew Gagat, a fifth-grade teacher at Lynnewood Elementary School in Pennsylvania, has been charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct following incidents of public masturbation. The first incident occurred on March 3, 2024, at Whitemarsh Cemetery in Horsham Township, where witnesses reported seeing Gagat masturbating near a headstone and approaching them in a lewd manner. The second incident took place on June 27, 2024, at Lenape Park in Sellersville, where a witness saw him touching himself while staring at her. Gagat has denied the allegations, claiming he was urinating to clear his head. The Haverford Township School District, which was only recently informed of the allegations, is working to provide accurate information and support to the community. Gagat is currently free on $10,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 6.
