Threads Surpasses 320 Million Monthly Users, Gains 20 Million Since December

Meta's microblogging platform, Threads, has reached 320 million monthly active users (MAUs), showing a significant growth from 300 million in December and 275 million in November. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the app is attracting over 1 million new sign-ups daily, signaling its appeal in a competitive social media landscape that includes rivals like X and Bluesky. While Bluesky's growth has slowed, Threads has been enhancing user engagement through new features such as post scheduling and analytics. Meta is also testing advertising options to capitalize on Threads' expanding user base. CFO Susan Li noted ongoing updates to the platform’s recommendation systems to improve content delivery and user experience. Zuckerberg remains optimistic about Threads' potential to become a leading discussion platform, aiming for 1 billion users in the future.
