Actress Pippa Scott Dies at 90 in Santa Monica
Pippa Scott, the acclaimed actress known for her roles in The Searchers and Auntie Mame, died at 90 from congenital heart failure at her Santa Monica home. Born in Los Angeles to a Hollywood family, Scott launched her career in the 1950s and became known for her performances in film and television, including The Twilight Zone, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and Cold Turkey. She was celebrated for bringing depth to supporting roles and for her expressive, graceful presence. Beyond acting, Scott founded the International Monitor Institute to aid war crimes prosecution and directed documentaries focused on human rights. She was married to producer Lee Rich, with whom she remained close after their divorce until his death. Scott is survived by her daughters Jessica and Miranda, and five grandchildren.
