Police Confirm Sighting of Fugitive Tom Phillips, Children After Piopio Break-In

Police have released CCTV footage showing two masked individuals believed to be fugitive father Tom Phillips and one of his children, linked to a recent break-in at a Piopio business. Phillips, who has been on the run with his three children since December 2021, faces multiple charges including aggravated robbery, aggravated wounding, and unlawful possession of a firearm. The footage captures the pair using a quad bike and power tools to break into the store, taking general grocery items before fleeing. Authorities are appealing for information from anyone who saw the quad bike in the early hours of August 27 between Piopio and Marokopa. Despite past police efforts and rewards offered for their safe return, Phillips and his children remain in hiding, with police emphasizing the children's wellbeing as a primary concern. Detective Senior Sergeant Andy Saunders confirmed the ongoing investigation and urged the public to assist in locating the family.
