Global Exhibitions Showcase Gaza Artists Highlighting Cultural Resilience

The Gaza Biennale, a platform for resistance and international solidarity, is showcasing contemporary Palestinian art in multiple cities worldwide, including New York, Athens, and Madrid. The Greek Pavilion, titled "In the Zone of Fire. Miracles in the Ruins," features 30 Gazan artists for the first time in Greece, highlighting the fusion of tradition and innovation amid conflict. In New York, the Biennale opened with somber artistic depictions of war and survival in Gaza, accompanied by live music from Palestine-born musician Firas Zreik. Meanwhile, Madrid's Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is hosting "Gaza Through Their Eyes," a photo exhibition documenting humanitarian struggles and resilience in Gaza, organized in collaboration with UNRWA to raise awareness and call for justice. The exhibit underscores the dangers faced by journalists in Gaza, with photos remaining unsigned to protect their identities due to Israeli restrictions and violence. Collectively, these exhibitions emphasize art's role as cultural survival and resistance amid ongoing conflict in Gaza.
