Galveston Beach Patrol Chief Davis Fired After Multiple Investigations, Kirwin Named Interim

Galveston Island Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis was officially terminated by interim CEO Marty Miles following multiple investigations into his leadership, including allegations of misuse of resources such as lodging arrangements for visiting members of the National Chilean Lifeguard Federation in a deteriorated facility. The Galveston Park Board has updated policies and procedures on contracting, procurement, conflicts of interest, personnel management, and safety to strengthen operations after the investigations.
