Fire kills three, injures firefighters in Kittanning

A tragic house fire in Kittanning early Monday morning resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including two adults and a three-year-old child, according to fire officials. The fire, which broke out in a duplex on North Grant Avenue around 4 a.m., prompted heavy smoke and extensive damage, leading crews to fight the blaze from outside after initial attempts inside proved too dangerous. Two firefighters sustained injuries while battling the flames and were treated on-site. The Armstrong County Coroner has been called to the scene, and the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. In a separate incident, emergency responders were dispatched to a fire in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood, but no injuries were reported there.
