Two Bus Crashes in Missouri and Illinois Injure Dozens
Two separate bus crashes were reported: one near Hermann, Missouri, where a shuttle bus carrying at least 41 people veered off Highway 100 on Saturday morning, resulting in 32 to 33 adults aged 27 to 68 being injured, including four with serious injuries; all occupants were checked or hospitalized. The cause of the Missouri crash is still under investigation. In a separate incident on Tuesday evening in Wheaton, Illinois, a car ran a red light and collided with a Pace bus near Danada Square shopping center, sending the bus and multiple vehicles into a ditch. The bus operator and two passengers were evaluated after the Wheaton crash, with the operator hospitalized. Road closures were enacted at both crash sites as authorities responded. Both incidents remain under investigation.
