Minnesota Frost Eliminate Toronto Sceptres 4-3 OT Advance to PWHL Final
The Minnesota Frost defeated the Toronto Sceptres 4-3 in overtime in Game 4 of the PWHL semifinals, securing a 3-1 series victory and advancing to the finals. Taylor Heise scored the game-winning goal 16 minutes into overtime, while captain Kendall Coyne Schofield contributed two goals during regulation. The Frost overcame a two-goal deficit and became the first team in the league's history to win a best-of-five series in fewer than five games. Toronto initially led through goals by Julia Gosling, Hannah Miller, and Emma Maltais, but Minnesota rallied with key goals from Coyne Schofield, Kelly Pannek, and Heise. Minnesota goalie Nicole Hensley made 26 saves to help secure the victory, and the Frost will await the winner of the Ottawa Charge–Montreal Victoire series in the finals. This marks the second consecutive year Minnesota has eliminated Toronto in the semifinals and the Frost seek to defend their Walter Cup championship.
