India achieved remarkable success at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, with multiple athletes winning medals across various events. Nitesh Kumar clinched the gold in men's singles SL3 badminton, defeating Britain's Daniel Bethell in a thrilling match. In para-badminton, Nithya Sre Sivan won a bronze in the women's singles SH6 class, adding to India's tally. Javelin thrower Sumit Antil retained his gold medal from Tokyo with a record-breaking throw of 70.59m. Additional medals were secured by Yogesh Kathuniya (silver in men's discus F56), and para-shuttlers Suhas Yathiraj (silver in SL4), Thulasimathi Murugesan (silver in SU5), and Manisha Ramadass (bronze in SU5). India’s overall medal count reached 15, marking one of their best performances in Paralympic history.
