Multiple US Teachers Face Child Pornography Charges

Several educators across the United States have recently faced serious charges related to possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. In Broward County, Florida, Craig Rogers, a physical education teacher at Westchester Elementary, was arrested on seven felony charges after authorities discovered he was sharing child pornography online and calling himself a 'pervert teacher' in chat groups. In New York, Kevin Burns, a former substitute teacher, pleaded guilty to possessing over 450 images of child pornography, some depicting violent abuse of minors. In Missouri, former Affton middle school teacher Scott R. Ellis received a seven-year prison sentence and was ordered to pay over $90,000 in restitution after being found with hundreds of images and videos of child sexual abuse material on his devices and cloud accounts. Additionally, a longtime teacher and youth sports coach in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was charged with collecting hundreds of explicit images of prepubescent girls. These cases have prompted school districts to cooperate fully with law enforcement and take disciplinary action against the accused individuals.
