Larsen & Toubro Wins Global Power Orders

Larsen & Toubro's Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has secured significant new orders in India and abroad, valued between ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore, aimed at enhancing the interconnected electricity network. In India, the company will execute two 765kV Double Circuit Transmission Line projects to facilitate power evacuation from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone to substations in Madhya Pradesh. Internationally, PT&D has received contracts to construct a 380kV substation and overhead lines in Saudi Arabia, which is strengthening its power supply infrastructure, and to build a 220kV substation along with three 132kV substations in the UAE to meet rising electricity demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These developments underscore L&T's commitment to supporting the clean energy transition and ensuring reliable power supply. The stock price of L&T has also seen an uptick, reflecting positive market sentiment following these announcements.
