Miami, JFK Airports Expand Luxury Lounges, Terminals by 2026

Major U.S. airports are enhancing luxury travel experiences with new, high-end lounges and terminals slated to open by 2026. Miami International Airport is developing a private terminal at the historic Pan Am headquarters, offering seamless premium services such as no check-in lines, unlimited food, and chauffeured rides, while preserving the site's mid-century architecture. New York's JFK Airport is undergoing a $19 billion redevelopment, including the introduction of two Plaza Premium lounges in the new Terminal One: a 9,300-square-foot airside Plaza Premium First lounge with à la carte dining and a 4,200-square-foot landside arrivals lounge with showers and business facilities, marking a rare arrivals lounge concept in the U.S. These JFK lounges will also feature concierge services like meet-and-assist and fast-track security. Montreal-Trudeau International Airport has opened a new Aspire Amex lounge emphasizing local culinary and design elements, enhancing passenger comfort with offerings such as specialty coffee, cocktails, and artisanal local products. Together, these developments reflect airports' efforts to cater to affluent and international travelers by combining luxury amenities with cultural and historical touches.
