Officer, Boy Stable After Sayreville Dog Attack

Police officers in Sayreville, NJ, fatally shot family dogs attacking a 10-year-old boy at the Knights Inn motel after a 911 call at 11:20 a.m. from a family member reporting the attack. In the process of stopping the attack, an officer was injured by a ricochet bullet, but both the boy and the officer were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in stable condition. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident and is seeking any information or surveillance footage from the area.
