IFC Releases Trailer for 100 Nights of Hero

IFC Films released a new trailer for Julia Jackman's historical fantasy 100 Nights of Hero, which premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, later closed the BFI London Film Festival, and will open in U.S. cinemas on December 5. Adapted from Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel — itself a retelling of One Thousand and One Nights — the film stars Maika Monroe as Cherry, Emma Corrin as Hero and Nicholas Galitzine as Manfred, and features Charli XCX, Felicity Jones and Richard E. Grant. The plot follows neglected bride Cherry after her husband wagers a friend can seduce her; Hero tells nightly tales to bolster Cherry and defend her from the dangerously seductive Manfred. Jackman and Charli XCX have said they avoided stunt casting, with Jackman praising XCX’s “fierceness and unknowability,” and the film reframes the source material as a feminist, queer-tinged fantasia that upends period tropes. Early response has been enthusiastic, with rave notices at Venice and a reported pre-release 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, and trailers highlight lush costumes, sapphic tension, satirical humor and an offbeat, stylish tone.
