Two Killed in Russian Attack in Kyiv Region

In a tragic incident, two individuals, including a four-year-old boy and his 35-year-old father, lost their lives in the Brovary district near Kyiv due to debris from Russian drone and missile attacks. Ukrainian emergency services reported that the victims were found under rubble after missile fragments struck their home, with three additional individuals suffering injuries. This attack marks the second targeting of Kyiv's suburbs this month, according to local authorities. Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that 35 drones were intercepted over several regions, while a Ukrainian missile shot down by Russian defenses reportedly hit a residential building in Kursk, injuring thirteen. The escalation of attacks comes amid ongoing tensions as Ukraine increases its operations against Russian territory. Both Kyiv and Moscow maintain that they do not intentionally target civilians in the protracted conflict which began in February 2022.
