Jacksonville Jaguars Acquire WR Tim Patrick from Detroit Lions

The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Detroit Lions for wide receiver Tim Patrick, a 31-year-old veteran known for his size and run-blocking ability. Patrick, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 210 pounds, adds the biggest receiver to the Jaguars' roster, addressing their need for a larger target in the passing game and red zone. After missing the 2022 and 2023 seasons due to ACL and Achilles injuries, Patrick returned in 2024 with 33 catches, 394 yards, and three touchdowns for Detroit. Originally undrafted in 2018, Patrick spent five seasons with the Denver Broncos, accumulating 176 receptions, 2,403 yards, and 15 touchdowns over his career. The Jaguars, led by head coach Liam Coen, are emphasizing the running game and value Patrick's blocking skills as well as his receiving.
