Jayson Scott, 23, the son of rapper Remy Ma, and Richard Swygert, 22, have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the June 7, 2021 killing of Darius Guillebeaux in Queens, New York. Guillebeaux, who had a criminal history and was involved in a significant drug operation dubbed 'Operation Heat Wave,' was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Both suspects were already in police custody for other crimes at the time of their arrest. Scott faces additional charges including second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. Remy Ma, who has a history of legal issues herself, has not commented on the arrest. The arraignment is expected to occur soon.
