Scottie Scheffler Named 2024 PGA Tour Player of Year

Scottie Scheffler has been awarded the Jack Nicklaus Award as the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the third consecutive year, a feat only previously accomplished by Tiger Woods. Scheffler received 91% of the votes from PGA Tour members after an exceptional season that included seven wins, a second Masters title, and a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. He also secured the FedEx Cup title, marking him as only the ninth player to achieve both honors in the same season. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan praised Scheffler for taking on challenges from the best players and earning the ultimate respect from his peers. Xander Schauffele, who won two majors this year, was among the nominees but became the first player with multiple majors not to win the Player of the Year award since its inception. Scheffler's remarkable season also included victories at signature events like The Players Championship and the Memorial Tournament.
