Arkia Airlines Launches NY-TLV Flights in 2025

Arkia Israeli Airlines is set to launch direct flights from Tel Aviv to New York starting February 8, 2025, marking the first competition for El Al on this lucrative route. The three weekly flights will be operated by the Spanish-Portuguese airline Iberojet using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, with round-trip fares beginning at $1,199, including meals and baggage. This move comes as El Al has faced criticism for high ticket prices and limited availability, with some economy class tickets priced over $1,600. Arkia's collaboration with TechAir aims to provide more options for travelers and stimulate competition in the market, which has seen increased demand since the suspension of flights by international carriers to and from Israel.
