Man Faces DUI Charges After Dunedin Crash Ejects Two with Life-Threatening Injuries

A serious two-vehicle crash in Dunedin, Florida, on the night of August 10, 2025, resulted in life-threatening injuries for a 61-year-old driver, George Haddad, and caused the ejection of both him and his passenger, 55-year-old Hayam Haddad, from their Lexus after it rolled over. The crash occurred when 42-year-old Jared Tiso, driving a 2022 Dodge Ram, attempted to turn east onto Winchester Drive from Belcher Road and struck the northbound Lexus. Deputies observed signs of impairment in Tiso, who performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury and one count of driving under the influence. Both Haddad and his passenger were hospitalized, with George Haddad in critical condition. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the incident. Tiso remains in the Pinellas County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
