Germany Forward Burkardt Joins Frankfurt from Mainz on Five-Year Deal

Jonathan Burkardt has officially transferred from Mainz to Eintracht Frankfurt, signing a contract through 2030 with a transfer fee reportedly reaching €23 million including bonuses. The 24-year-old forward was Mainz's top scorer last season with 18 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances and holds the club record with 41 goals in 136 games. Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche praised Burkardt's finishing ability, tactical understanding, and team spirit, highlighting that he will benefit their gameplay. Burkardt expressed enthusiasm about joining Frankfurt, citing positive discussions with club officials and a clear sporting pathway.
