BCCI mandates team bus travel for India players

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented a strict 10-point guideline for the senior men's cricket team ahead of their T20I series against England, starting January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This initiative follows India's disappointing performance in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, aiming to enhance team discipline and cohesion. Key rules include mandatory travel on a team bus for all players and the requirement to stay for the full duration of practice sessions, with exceptions only by prior approval from the head coach or chief selector. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) confirmed that no individual transportation arrangements will be provided, emphasizing adherence to these new policies. While some players, including captain Rohit Sharma, have expressed concerns regarding certain aspects of the guidelines, the BCCI insists the measures are not punitive but necessary for fostering commitment within the team. This marks a significant shift from previous practices where players occasionally traveled separately to matches and practice sessions.
