Merlin and Mojang Unveil $110M Minecraft Attractions

Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios have partnered to create Minecraft-themed attractions in the UK and the US, set to open between 2026 and 2027. This $110 million deal will integrate Minecraft into existing theme parks or new city-center locations, featuring themed rides, retail outlets, and hotels. As the world's best-selling video game with 140 million monthly players, Minecraft's expansion into physical attractions aims to enhance its global presence. The project, titled 'Adventures Made Real,' aims to expand globally following its initial launch. This collaboration marks Merlin's first major foray into video game-themed attractions, building on its successful partnerships with brands like Lego and Peppa Pig. A Minecraft movie starring Jason Momoa is also slated for release, further broadening the franchise's appeal.
