Man Charged with Stalking WNBA's Caitlin Clark

Michael Thomas Lewis, a 55-year-old man from Denton, Texas, has been charged with felony stalking after allegedly sending numerous threatening and sexually explicit messages to WNBA star Caitlin Clark via social media. Lewis was arrested in Indianapolis, where he had traveled, leading Clark to express concerns for her safety and alter her public appearances. The messages, sent between December 16 and January 2, included references to driving near her home and attending her games, causing Clark to feel terrorized. Prosecutors indicated that Lewis claimed the messages were part of an 'imaginary relationship' and not threatening, despite the alarming content. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
